Watching you shop making your home
Tore me apart made me feel all alone
And spending the evening together with you
Laughing and joking a drink, or two
Made it feel like old times again
When watching that movie together again
It seems so hard just to act like friends
After the break up changed our lives
And watching you grow up in front of my eyes
Made me want you back again
But life goes on this to me is ever clearer now

And like those leaves that fall toward the ground
